Sunshine, Good Times and Fine Wine     Just right for warm weather- Our 2010 Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir Rosé Van Duzer proudly introduces two wines exceptional for their levels of concentration, clarity and purpose. The 2010 Estate Pinot Gris and 2010 Pinot Noir Rose’ are the first wines produced from start to finish by new winemaker Jerry D. Murray. Drawing on his winemaking experiences in Germany, New Zealand and Oregon, Murray has crafted a couple of refreshing wines that have won the hearts of wine writers and reviewers. Van Duzer’s 2010 Pinot Gris was named an “Oyster Wine” by the panel of judges assembled for the Pacific Coast Oyster Wine competition. And our 2010 Rose’ has been called “one of the great joys of the wine world” (Ben Bodenstein, ArticlesOnWine.com) and “a superstar, highly allocated Rose of Pinot Noir” (NorthwestWine.com). The wines’ debut at the Van Duzer wine club party on May 7 was memorable for the delightful ways that the dry-style wines celebrate warmer weather and lighter fare. This recipe includes some Gris in a tasty Latino Caribbean marinade.   With its release in May, Van Duzer’s Flagpole Block contributes its distinctive profile to the winery’s selection of2008 small lot releases.Named for the flagpole that marks the entry to Van Duzer Vineyards, the steep block is known for producing concentrated black and red fruit and Wädenswil-derived earthy notes on an age-worthy structure.
